Keeping in step with the Georgia World Congress Center's vision of innovation, CCLD has deployed one of the first privately owned cellular neutral host systems in the convention and hospitality industry. The neutral host system
provides uniform, high-quality cellular coverage throughout the Georgia World Congress Center and Georgia Dome.
In October 2003, CCLD began the demanding, five month task of installing 220 miles of fiber optic cable, 13,000 feet of coax cable and 135 antennas throughout the Georgia World Congress Center and the Georgia Dome. Partnering with our charter members, Verizon, Sprint, Cingular and AT&T Wireless, CCLD now provides show management, exhibitors and attendees unparalleled cellular coverage throughout these facilities.
Those of you familiar with the concrete and steel structures of the typical convention center know how difficult the routine process of placing a call can be. Not anymore. The neutral host system covers every level of the Georgia World Congress Center, including the exhibit halls, meeting rooms, concourses and the Georgia Dome. What was once a frustrating experience has been made simple.
Debuting at CTIA's (Cellular Telephone & Internet Association) Wireless 2004 trade show, the neutral host system routed 700,000 calls over a three day period. Senior Project Manager, Thomas Lloyd stated: "The neutral host site worked flawlessly throughout CTIA. All of the carriers were extremelyccld impressed with the performance of the system."
